Chromite is a material used to make Hexolite. It can be found using the Metal Detector or Smokie|Smokie's Partner Skill, Dig, Dog! Dig!. When using Smokie, a higher skill level yields greater amounts of Chromite per node. Unlike Jellroy, Smokie must be active for this effect to apply, and only one Smokie needs to be condensed to gain the full benefits.
Chromite is most commonly found in Dungeons on the Feybreak island, though it can also appear sporadically on the surface. Subterranean Alpha Pal lairs—such as those of Kitsun Noct, Splatterina, and Silvegis—are another reliable source, yielding several nodes each day.
